Report: Cycling tour at Kasumigaura Lake on 11 Nov.　霞ヶ浦ツアーレポート（11月11日）

As announced, we organized a cycle tour at Kasumigaura lake on 11 Nov. 

It was lovely day, with no strong wind during tour.

We boarded a boat at the jetty near Tsuchiura railway station with our bikes and cruised for some 40 minutes. When we landed the jetty of Tamatsukuri, about the center of the lake, we visited a farmers' market. Sweets locally made were available there.

After shopping, we left there and cycled to a restaurant ”Kasumi Kitchen" which served lunch. I myself ordered a "Ice Fish Bawl", small fish caught in Kasumigaura lake nearby on rice. It was, of course, so good!

Then, we saw a lot of birds on fields around the lake. It was a kind of typical scenic of countryside in Japan.

去る11月11日、霞ヶ浦にてモニターツアーを実施しました。

当日は風もほとんどなく、快適なサイクリング。土浦駅からも近い船着き場で、自転車ごと船に乗り、玉造港へクルーズ。到着後、行方の道の駅で買い物などをしてから、自転車で湖畔を走り、「かすみキッチン」でランチ。絶品生シラウオ丼をいただきます。

食事後は、再び湖畔を走りながら、霞ケ浦周辺の自然を満喫。収穫の終わった蓮畑に、サギなどの野鳥が数多く見られました。
