日本有数の茶どころと知られている静岡。

とりわけ大井川周辺には茶畑が多く見られますが、

川に沿って走る大井川鐡道を利用しながら、

茶畑の中を走るサイクリングはいかがでしょうか？

Do you know Shizuoka prefecture in Japan?

It is famous for Japanese green tea gardens, which produces 40% of all tea leaves in Japan.

You can see those tea gardens by bike and train. Carrying your bike on a train of Oigawa Railway, why don't you cycle there?

JR東海道線の金谷駅で接続している大井川鐡道の自転車を車内に持ち込んで、

よさげな風景が見えたら途中下車。

駅周辺には茶畑が広がり、きままに自転車を走らせることができます。

Boarding a train of Oigawa Railway at Kanaya Railway station (Approx.1 hour from Tokyo to Shizuoka by Shinkansen train and 30 min. from Shizuoka and Kanaya by local train), 

you will see tea gardens along side the railway.

You can start cycling from any railway station.

大井川鐡道の駅近くにはカフェも複数あり、田舎（失礼！）の割には食事場所は豊富です。日本的なものをご希望の場合は、そばなどいかがでしょうか？

There are a few cafes near railways station.

If you want to eat authentic Japanese food, one recommendation would be Soba noodle. 

タイミングが合えば、大井川鐡道ご自慢のSL列車に出会うことも。

家山駅のすぐ前にある寿園カフェに入り、

川根茶の抹茶を使ったロールケーキで、糖分補給。

家山駅周辺には、時間が止まったような商店街がたたずんでいました。

町から少し外れると、また茶畑が現れます。

You can cycle in Japanese gardens near the Ieyama railway station.

町外れにある「野守の池」を自転車で一周。

残念ながら、大井川鐡道で輪行するには輪行袋に入れなくてはならず、

その自転車をレンタルする場所はないと思われますが、

ご自分の自転車をお持ちの方であれば、輪行サイクリングも楽しめる場所です。

Unfortunately, there is no rent a cycle which is able to carry on a train,

if you have own bikes, you can enjoy Tea Garden Cycling along Oigawa railway.
